Travel Restrictions

  1. Off-road driving (non-public or "logging" roads) is not permitted.
  2. Travel on the Apache Trail in Arizona is not permitted.
  3. Travel to New York City is not permitted.
  1. Travel in Death Valley is not permitted in July and August. In June and September travel is permitted, however, customer is fully responsible for any and all mechanical problems and/or towing. Ground temperatures can reach 140 degrees Fahrenheit or 60 degrees Celsius.
  2. Travel to Alaska or Northern Canada (i.e. north of 55° latitude to the West of the Manitoba/Ontario border; north of 50° latitude to the East) is permitted at client's own risk. However, there is no reimbursement for repairs or lost use.
  3. Travel into Mexico is permitted at client's own risk and with purchase of El Monte RV's Mexico Auto Liability Insurance(MALI). However, there is no reimbursement for repairs or lost use.
  4. Travel during the Winter months is permitted. However, as a precautionary measure, El Monte RV may replace water with antifreeze to prevent water systems from freezing. Customers must plan on using bottled water. Special instructions may be given at the rental station.

The Generator

All of our motorhome units have a generator built-in. The use of the generator is not required for normal vehicle operation.

Staying Overnight in a Motorhome

Since our motorhomes are Self Contained it would be possible to overnight anywhere; but it would not be legal. Motorhomes may overnight at RV Parks, Motorhome Campsites or at roadside "Rest Areas".
